Character Models - Orc

The Orc. I am still working on the weighting for the shoulders, you can see a little pulling over the bicep but the kilt is finished.

Character Rigging - Orc anim

This is some rough animation I did for their Demo. I never said I was a great animator... did I?

Character Models - Orc

Because I will be using this site as my Portfolio until I get really serious about a website (shut up Yongwoo...); I will post my progress on several projects here. This is from the orc for the demo. It shows the low poly model, the normal map details and the first rig I made for him. It has been 6 months, so I didn't spend the time to make any really cool controls, just nurbs.

Character Models - Orc

I am working on the Orc again this week, so here is another shot of him.

Concepts - Macross

Here are some Macross concepts for a Mod i was working on with some friends many years ago.

Concepts - AvP2

One of the many concepts for Aliens Vs. Predator 2, probably the most fun I have had working in video games. Those folks at Monolith are the best!

Concepts

After playing a lot of Homeworld (which i think is the best real-time strategy game to date), I painted this. I happened to be in India at the time and couldn't go outside because it was Monsoon.

Concepts

Back in 2003, I worked as a Freelance artist for Technicraft doing art for a Roleplaying book called Pax Draconis. Here is a Starport image from that book.

Concepts

An early Concept for the Orc. Later it was thought to be a better idea to see his face and body.

Concepts

Posting some concepts for various games. This was a contract for Riot games when I was working for FxLabs. I am not sure if they ended up using this image, but it was my favorite out of 5 different concepts for the "Voidwalker" that I did.

Character Models

Here it is with no Texture.

Character Models

Back in Zbrush to do another pass on his skin. On the one before I used a mask that was making him appear too much like he had lizard skin.

DragonFly

The wireframe.

DragonFly

This is the flyer used to combat the Dragons. The large blade under the craft is... yes, a blade, also used in slicing through airship balloons. We can get more into that later. Also the concept showing how the Dragonfly was started. All in all, the model turned out very much like the concept, but in the process I had the idea of a plate that would protect the rider from a hostile dragon and on that plate I could put art similar to the way pilots would personalize their aircrafts in WWI.

Character Models - Dragon

Dragon Butt! No, really, I wanted to show how difficult it was to make the wings fold like this. Later I will post a shot that I did for the controls. I must admit, it was a real challenge for me!

Character Models - Dragon

Here is the wireframe for the Dragon.

Character Models - Dragon

Working on two new models for a flying/combat game. Here are a few low poly shots for one of the dragons and one of the flyers.

Character Models - Remy and Emile

These are a little old, but were really a lot of fun because I had a chance to meet several of the guys at Pixar during a chalk talk. At the time they were really not sure what the final model of Remy would look like, so my model had to change all the time too.

Character Models - Archie's

The whole crew from Archie's Riverdale Run. I have recently left FxLabs, (a little glad, I hated the plane rides!) but I wish them all the best of luck getting this game out the door.

Character Models - Archie's

I have gotten to do some cool things in my time. One of the coolest was to meet the creators of Archie’s comics while I was working at FxLabs. We went up to New York and hung out for a day while we discussed the game design. I will post some pics of my trip later; for now, here is a look at Betty. Who doesn’t love her?

Character Models - Marine

A better look at the Microsoft Marine Model.

Character Models - Marine

This is a model created for a meeting we had with Microsoft. This also had no real purpose other than to show that FxLabs had the ability to compete in next gen model creation.

First Blog

Okay, it's up. Give me a few hours and you should see some art in here. Let's hope!
