Here Is a closer look at one of the Images from the gif, and the original photoshop painting. It is not a paint over. I used a perspective graph, then once the painting was done I used a pretty heavy film grain filter to get the security camera look. (I changed the shape of an existing photoshop chalk brush to get that Ashley Wood feel. )

Web Adventure
Wow, so busy lately... I really will get back to work soon! I did have an idea when I was riding the bus home from Seattle this Friday, A web based adventure similar to Zork, or one of those other really irritating pre-rendered puzzle games that I always hated so much. I think I hated them based on my very limited understanding of their story lines. I think they could have been really cool had they been perhaps Sci-Fi or say Zombie based... maybe.
So any way here was a gif I worked up for the Idea. It took a few hours because I lost my perspective sheets I stole from Yongwoo, and I had to make more.

Today's sketch, I am going try and get back to doing one a day. I threw in the Alien robot for size comparison. The Ornithopter idea came to me while watching Transformers for the 5th time one Saturday, well I wasn't really watching it I was painting and just kept hitting play because I was too lazy to change the DVD player to something else. In Transformers the special forces called for air support deep in an urban landscape, I couldn't help wondering what an Apache Longbow would be like if it had legs and could come down into the streets, reposition itself to cover retreating ground forces then take off again to more needed areas of combat. I know, Inspired obviously by watching giant robots changing shapes similar to Macross or as its known here in America, Robotech. P.S. Harmony Gold i hate you for messing with what was a really cool Anime!

I was bored this weekend and with all the Normal map Next Gen work i really wanted to just paint a texture. This is a Low Poly human model I used to make the Marine, this time I wanted try my hand at painting human anatomy again. Please forgive the untextured ear, at the last moment I decided to make him an Elf. I also removed the hair cards... I didnt finish.

Character Models - Orc
Character Rigging - Orc anim
This is some rough animation I did for their Demo. I never said I was a great animator... did I?
Character Models - Orc
Because I will be using this site as my Portfolio until I get really serious about a website (shut up Yongwoo...); I will post my progress on several projects here. This is from the orc for the demo. It shows the low poly model, the normal map details and the first rig I made for him. It has been 6 months, so I didn't spend the time to make any really cool controls, just nurbs.

DragonFly
This is the flyer used to combat the Dragons. The large blade under the craft is... yes, a blade, also used in slicing through airship balloons. We can get more into that later. Also the concept showing how the Dragonfly was started. All in all, the model turned out very much like the concept, but in the process I had the idea of a plate that would protect the rider from a hostile dragon and on that plate I could put art similar to the way pilots would personalize their aircrafts in WWI.

Character Models - Archie's
I have gotten to do some cool things in my time. One of the coolest was to meet the creators of Archie’s comics while I was working at FxLabs. We went up to New York and hung out for a day while we discussed the game design. I will post some pics of my trip later; for now, here is a look at Betty. Who doesn’t love her?
